Debbie Sweeney is Senior Vice President/Director of Programming for Pappas Telecasting Companies.  In this position, she oversees all program operations for Pappas Telecasting’s English-language television station group.  She began her career at Pappas Telecasting’s flagship station KMPH in 1976, and has held a variety of positions throughout her tenure with the company.

Debbie has served as president of the FOX Network Program Executive Council, remaining on the board as past president for five years following her presidency.  She is on the program board of Partner Stations Network, of which Pappas Telecasting is a partner.  In 1989 and 1991, she was nominated for The Fresno Bee/YWCA “Businesswoman of the Year” award.

Debbie is a native of Tulare, California, and resides in Fresno with her 16-year old son, Brandon.
