  Biography of Steven E. Alfieris  
 
Vice President / Special Counsel

Since 1998, Steven Alfieris has been actively involved in Pappas Telecasting's corporate and station management.  As a member of the State Bar of California, he handles various legal issues for the company, including the purchase of stations, hiring of personnel and other business negotiations.

Last year, Steven was named Secretary of the Board of Directors of Pappas Telecasting Companies.  His first job in broadcasting was as an Assistant Producer for the 10 O'Clock News at Pappas Telecasting's Fresno flagship station, KMPH Fox 26, from 1989 through 1990.

In addition to the State Bar of California, Steven is a member of the American Bar Association, the Communications Bar and the Fresno County Bar Association.

In 1992, Steven earned a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Fresno in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, and completed his Juris Doctor degree from San Joaquin College of Law in 1997.  He has served on the boards of directors of various non-profit organizations, including Friends of the Fox and the Greek Community of Fresno, Inc.  He enjoys travel and film.
